Your first visit
What actually happens, start to finish.
The first appointment takes about forty five minutes and costs D750. Nothing is done to your teeth on that visit unless you are in pain and ask us to.

Book by phone or message
Ring +220 449 7788 between 08:00 and 18:00, or send a WhatsApp to the same number at any hour. Messages are answered the same working day. Tell us if you are in pain and we will find you something sooner; we keep four emergency slots free every working day.
A routine appointment is usually available within forty eight hours. Saturdays fill first.

Arrive fifteen minutes early, once
Only for the first visit, so we can take your medical history properly. Bring a list of any medication you take, including anything for blood pressure, diabetes or blood thinning, and tell us if you are pregnant.
There is parking for six cars behind the building and the entrance from Atlantic Road has a ramp.
-
Examination and two x-rays
The dentist looks at every tooth, your gums, your bite and the soft tissue, and takes two small x-rays. If you had x-rays elsewhere in the last year, bring them and we will not repeat them.
-
A printed plan with prices on it
You leave with a written plan listing what needs doing, what each item costs and what order we would do it in. Anything urgent is marked. Anything that could reasonably wait is marked too, with how long it can wait.
Nothing is booked at that point unless you want it booked. Take the plan away and think about it.
If you are nervous.
Tell reception when you book. You will get a longer appointment at no extra charge, the first visit will be talking and looking rather than treatment, and we will agree a signal that means stop.
We do not use general anaesthetic. For very anxious patients we can prescribe a sedative to take an hour beforehand, which means somebody else has to drive you home.
Bringing children.
We see children from six months, and the first few visits are mostly about the child deciding the chair is not frightening. A check up under 12 is D450 and includes fluoride varnish.
A child's first visit is free if a parent is being treated the same day. Book them together and say so on the phone.
